Family Medicine and Primary Health Care Expert
The Healthy Life project is looking for a Family Medicine and Primary Health Care Expert to help strengthen PHC services, update clinical protocols, and lead trainings for family doctor teams.
The Healthy Life project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) in Moldova, in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The third and final phase of the project runs from October 2024 to June 2028, aiming to improve the health status of the Moldovan population, especially in rural areas, by reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Main responsibilities:

Coordinate work packages on strengthening primary health care (PHC) services, with focus on NCD prevention and management.

Facilitate updates of PHC protocols and training programs for family doctor teams.

Support the digitalization of training materials and the implementation of quality improvement tools in PHC.

Address bottlenecks in NCD patient pathways and propose solutions.

Facilitate capacity-building workshops and ensure sustainable implementation of developed tools and models.

Document and share lessons learned, contribute to project reports, and collaborate with partners at all levels.
Requirements:

University degree in Medicine (Family Medicine/PHC, Public Health, or Health Sciences); postgraduate degree in public health is an advantage.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in PHC, public health, and/or clinical work.

Proven knowledge of Moldova’s health system, experience in project planning, reporting, and delivering trainings.

Strong collaboration skills with authorities, health institutions, and civil society.

Fluency in English, Romanian, and Russian.

Proficiency in MS Office and related tools.
Position details:

Location: Chișinău, Moldova.

Involvement: 75% of time.

Duration: 1-year contract, possibility of extension.
