The Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova opened in 2000. It has the status of diplomatic mission and represents the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The Swiss Cooperation Office manages the technical assistance provided by Switzerland to Moldova. It is responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the Swiss Cooperation Programme in Moldova, as well as for coordinating activities with local and international partners.

The National Agency for Public Health’s mission is to ensure the implementation of state policy in the respective areas of competences in accordance with the legal framework provisions.

 

The areas of competences of the Agency are: state supervision, promotion and protection of public health; state control (inspection) of health; monitorization and assessment of the population’s health; accreditation of medical and pharmaceutical providers and labour safety.
